What happened to us was wrong.
We will not pretend it did not hurt, and forgiveness does not mean that violence or bullying was acceptable.
But we refuse to carry hatred into our future.
We know that bullies are not born. People are shaped by what happens around them—by fear, anger, peer pressure, the need to impress others and online videos that can make humiliating or hurting somebody look clever.
It is not clever.
Real strength is having power and choosing not to misuse it.
We cannot thank you for hurting us.
But we can be grateful for the strength and purpose we found afterward.
What happened helped inspire Rumble Bee Fight Back Club: a place where people can become stronger without becoming cruel, learn to protect without becoming bullies, and find friendship instead of enemies.
We genuinely wish every one of you success in life.
We hope you grow beyond the choices you made, just as we are growing beyond what happened to us.
One day, when the Rumble Bee gym is standing in Andover, perhaps you will walk through its doors. You will not be greeted with revenge. You will be offered a cup of tea, a fresh start—and maybe an arm wrestle.
If you enter peacefully, respect the Member Code and want to become better, you will be welcome.
Because the best way to defeat an enemy is to turn them into a friend.
We train to protect, not to bully.
No baby is born bad.
They are not the enemy. They are the mission.
With strength and respect,
Sonny Marshall and Leo Goodman
